Yesterday N spent most of the day flipping around like a fish on dry land. With an inch and a half incision in his back, his muscles torn, bone cut, and fatty tissue clipped from his spinal cord he was constantly rolling around trying to get comfortable. It was impressive and so out of character. my husband said to me, “We’re dealing with a baby on drugs.” Never a good thing.
We finally realized that he has the opposite reaction to Morphine. When we stopped giving him Morphine he eventually fell asleep at 2:00 am last night and slept until 2:00 pm today. I’ve been so happy listening to his squeaky sleep noises. Hoping they continue tonight.
