Nathan went in for surgery around 1:30 and came up to recover about 3:00. All went well with the procedure. He did come back intubated though. Thankfully they prepared me for that because it’s my biggest fear for this child – that he will need help breathing.
He was extubated about two hours after he got back to the room and we spent most of the afternoon/evening trying to manage his pain. Also, that part was very painful for his parents.
This is when he came to – very sad.
Whew, we finally have the pain under control!
