We’ve enjoyed lots of fun over the last month. It all started at Orange Beach where my family vacations each Spring. I love it there. It is such a beautiful stretch of sand mingling with blue, green ocean water along the Gulf. I usually come back well rested and well read. This year not so much. I learned that vacationing with an infant is a totally different experience. I woke up around 6:30 am every morning, just like at home, and only got through maybe a quarter of the book I’m currently reading. Oh well, it was completely worth it. My family enjoyed time with Mac and my husband and I were able to take advantage of some babysitting to go out and celebrate his 40th birthday!
Date night for my husband’s birthday.
My uncle let us take his new Camaro out to dinner which combined with family babysitters made for an extra special evening.
Mac’s first time in the pool. As you can tell by the look on his face he was a little unsure as to whether or not he liked it. He loves his baths though so I am hopeful he’ll love our neighborhood pool by the end of the summer.
Meeting my grandma (his “GG,” short for great grandma) for the first time. He loved sitting on her lap.
Enjoying some time with my sister who is due in October. My nephew will be one year younger than Mac. I can’t wait till they can play together.
What a blast! Can’t wait to do it again next Spring when we’ll have another little boy joining us!
