Two weeks flies when the Olympics are airing. Each night my husband and I have been racing to get the kids into bed so we can plop down on the couch and enjoy the games. Of course my favorite moment was when Alex Bilodeau won the gold.
My phone was blowing up with text messages. Everyone asking me if I was watching the story of Alex and his brother Frederick who has cerebral palsy. Of course I was. I was sitting there crying like a baby. I must have replayed it a million times.
Here it is again. In case you want to re watch my favorite and personally inspiring human interest story just one more time before the closing of another Olympic Games.
My book, Beauty in Broken Dreams: A Hopeful Handbook for the Early Years as a Special Needs Parent, is now available on Amazon!
