I will never forget this day four years ago. I was re-reading your birth story a few days ago. It was one of the scariest and happiest days of my life. I am so thankful that God gave us you. You bring us so much joy.
You are my fun-loving, persevering, and creative first born boy. There isn’t a day that goes by when you don’t have us laughing about something, usually involving your big vocabulary. You have an attitude of never giving up when you’ve put your mind to something. And I’m constantly finding your new creations around the house.
Your role as big brother has already started to reveal a compassionate side of you too. Someone who’s opinion I respect recently told me that you are smart, confidant, resilient and that those qualities, along with compassion, will only grow with time and life circumstance. I am looking forward to learning from your confident and resilient spirit. I believe God has a good plan for you. That you were “created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that [you] would walk in them.” (Eph 2: 10)
I’m so proud to be your mom. Happy 4th Birthday Big Kid!
