No, I’m not pregnant. And for those of you who even thought that, you’re nuts!
I’m really excited about writing on PreemieBabies101 as a way to share my NICU experiences and connect with other mamas of early babies or babies with special needs. Writing on this blog has been a helpful way for me to process and heal from the trauma of both my boys’ births and now I am honored to have an even greater reach.
Over the next couple of months I am going to be making some changes to the blog. I am going to start referring to the big kid as M and the little kid as N to protect their privacy. Also, I will start watermarking photos. As much as I want to share our story to encourage others, I also want to protect it. So when you see those changes, you’ll know why.
The NICU is a unique and scary place. Certainly not what I hoped for at the outset of these two precious lives. Yet out of some of our deepest pain, God has birthed great joy and beauty. And I’m confident this is just the beginning.
My book, Beauty in Broken Dreams: A Hopeful Handbook for the Early Years as a Special Needs Parent, is now available on Amazon!
